India Introduces EPR Regulations for Used Oils On September 18, 2023, India's Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) issued the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations for used oil in the Gazette of India. The regulations are also called the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Second Amendment Rules, 2023. It shall come into force from April 1, 2024.

EU Adds PFHxS to Prohibited List under POPs Regulation On August 8, 2023, EU issued Regulation (EU) 2023/1068 to list perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts, and PFHxS-related compounds in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2019/1021, also known as the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation. The regulation will come into effect 20 days after its publication.
