On October 11, 2023, India's Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MOEFCC) notified on the Official Gazette to promulgate the Ecomark Certification Rules, 2023. It shall come into force on the same date of its publication.
The Rules outline a framework for Ecomark certification rules but are in absence of more detailed guidelines and instructions on compliance.
