On August 30, 2024, the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) released and enacted Regulation No. 11 of 2024, concerning the implementation of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) in Hazardous and Toxic Waste Management. 1
According to the Regulation, businesses involved in B3 Waste Management—including waste management services, productions, and activities that pose a high environmental risk—are required to have employees with competency certificates in B3 Waste Management. The Regulation outlines the requirements for employee qualification level descriptions, work attitudes, roles, potential positions, and rules for packaging competency units.
