Background

The European Green Deal is a European growth strategy that aims to transform the European Union (EU) into a fair and prosperous society, with a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy where there are no net emissions of greenhouse gasses and where economic growth is separated from resource use.

The Green Deal is an integral part of the European Commission's strategy to implement the United Nations' 2030 Agenda and the sustainable development goals.

The Green Deal will affect many policy areas, spanning all industry sectors, and includes many individual initiatives to put the EU at the forefront of sustainability and green matters.

This webinar will provide an introduction to the EU Green Deal and the key policy areas that will affect businesses in all sectors in particular consumer goods, chemicals, packaging and cosmetics.  We will examine what has been finalized to date, take a look at what might be introduced in the future and consider how companies can begin to prepare for these new regulatory challenges.

This webinar is one of the sessions of ChemLinked's virtual event - Sustainability 360°: Navigating the Global Regulatory Landscape. From November to December, there are a series of insightful webinars covering key topics such as PFAS, EPR, Environmental Information Disclosure, EU Green Deal, EU Green Claims Directive, Green Transition, Recycled Plastics, Packaging, and Design across various regions.
