The objectives of National Food Waste Management Action Plan and National Nutrition Action Plan, are aligned with the target of realizing sustainable consumption set in Thailand’s National Food Management Action Plan Phase 1.

On the 1st National Food Committee meeting of 2024 held on January 11, three important documents got approved, including the Food Waste Management Roadmap (2023-2030), National Food Waste Management Action Plan Phase 1 (2023-2027), and National Nutrition Action Plan Phase 1 (2023-2027). The objectives of these documents are consistent with the national target set in Thailand’s National Food Management Action Plan Phase 1 (2023-2027), including reducing food waste, reducing the people with food shortage, and decreasing people with malnutrition status. Moreover, the essence of National Food Management Action Plan also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 in ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns.
