On February 2, 2025, Thailand Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) unveiled the second draft of the Sustainable Packaging Management Act. Compared to the first draft (click ChemLinked News for more details), which was released in March of 2024, this draft aims to establish a more comprehensive management system covering the entire lifecycle of packaging by clarifying responsibility allocation, economic measures, and technical specifications, so as to reduce resource waste, lower carbon emissions, and promote Thailand's transition to a circular economy.
